In these years students are taught the fundamentals of all the KS3 mathematics topics in great depth. They are taught how various maths topics link to one another. Students are shown a variety of questions within each topic, where the application of the maths they have learnt varies.

Students are now building on the fundamentals already taught and are learning more advanced mathematical concepts. Pupils will be taught how to problem solve were more than one maths skill is used. Pupils are given extensive coaching on how to master examination problems.

> 1 hour 15 minute lessons for Year 10.
> 1 hour 30 minute lessons for Year 11.
> Personalised homework.
> Weekly exam paper and feedback for year 11.
Students are carefully guided through the A Level Specification with a particular focus on the application of the mathematical concept. Pupils are coached on how simple concepts can be applied to challenging problems. Pupils are guided through the Mechanics and Statistics part of the A Level content carefully with as much support as required as this is an area often identified as an area students struggle.
